I WON

I won Margo's 2009 Junk Calendar. She was having a 400th post giveaway and all you had to do was send her a note saying that you wanted your name put in the hat. That's it!!! Congratulations Margo. You have been an inspiration to all of us junkers. Keep up the good work.


Finding out couldn't have come at a better time. The weather here is very cold and snowy. Things have been going pretty good since the first of the year. It's been in the 20's and 30's which hasn't been too bad. But last night we got about 3 - 4 inches of snow and didn't stop until 10:30 am. The snow wouldn't have been bad but we've been getting 20 mile an hour winds. As I'm sitting here writing this, I can look out my window and see the snow blowing across the road. The snow is so light that it flows so easily in the wind. I can barely see the house up the road which is about a 1/4 mile from me. I can't even see my driveway anymore. It's a good thing we own 4 wheel drive vehicles. Bad on gas mileage but at least we have a chance to get to town in bad weather like this.



This one was taken just at the steps to the deck. There should be a sidewalk under the 8" drift.

It's a good thing for the open field. At least the snow has somewhere to go instead pile up on the road. Say "hey" to the neighbors!! The road is pretty bad up their way. It usually drifts shut till the plow gets to it. Which is in two days!!

I'll be waiting patiently for my calendar to get here.
